Amsterdam - Living in the center

With the end of the housing contract I moved to the center of Amsterdam to live with some friends since i still had a thesis to finish and to present. Thankfully they were kind to accept me on their amazing typical dutch house. One inconvenient of living in the center is bike thiefs. Fortunately my bike did not get stolen… however a funny thing did happen…

I was going for a jogg to westerpark one morning and I couldn’t find my bike! When I approached the canal to think about where it could be or what could have happen when I looked down and… there it was!!

Polder near UilenstedeAccording to wikipedia “a polder is a low-lying tract of land enclosed by embankments (barriers) known as dikes, that forms an artificial hidrological entity, meaning it has no connection with outside water other than through manually-operated devices”.
Basically it describes the Netherlands. Outside the cities this is what you will see.
